A father turns a stony face to his sons, berates them, shakes his antlers, paws the ground, snorts, runs them off into the underbrush, but when his daughter puts her arm over his shoulder and says, "Daddy, I need to ask you something," he is a pat of butter in a hot frying pan. ~Garrison KeillorAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1403927290529132193.post-91923282770389380862010-05-22T15:55:04.086-04:002010-05-22T15:55:04.086-04:00i went easy on you.

Not only do the "Champions of Skee-Ball" meet for the occasional challenge, but we've shared our family vacation at a beach house nearby,"beach Wednesdays" and Emma's first trip to Newport as a baby, pulling a sleeping Maddie across the sand on a boogie board and most recently Colin's engagement to Lauren took place in that very spot!
What's the "pull" of Balboa for our family? Certainly the ocean, but the arcade has always held a certain mystique. The promise of treasures that can be had by redeeming those little tickets that stream out of the skee-ball game are just too tempting to resist.
Looks like Miss Em has found an unexpected "treasure" in her optimism, her competitive spirit and a golden liquid called Myozyme. How do you think she does it? What makes her so good? Simple. She's learned from the best.

With so much love,
KelleyAuntie Kelleynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1403927290529132193.post-91900888993487016932010-05-21T12:26:25.505-04:002010-05-21T12:26:25.505-04:00Great story once again.
